Young Goodman Brown

1)I think Hawthorne's purpose was to teach us that everyone we meet is who they say they are.
2) her name fits her because she has the pink ribbons and that means joy
3)the pink ribbons represent happiness and joy
4) the old man is the devil because he says that he has met his father and his grandfather and him and young Goodman brown are the same age.
5) the staff represents the devil and how he is able to look all young and bring people into the woods to die or get possessed.
6)i feel like he would have had a good life and would have still been able to trust but him going to the forest was good at the same time because he can tell who are fake and who are real.
